PLEDGE INFORMATION - I WANT MY NAME ON THE WALL!

Is it too late to make a pledge?

No, it is not, but hurry! Remember, a pledge of $5,000 is only $83.33 a month over a five-year period and fully tax deductible. There are still naming opportunities for you beginning at the $100,000 level. Don’t miss this opportunity to be a part of the history of this building. To make a pledge call Cathy Maher, 214/220-7401 or cmaher@dallasbar.org today, or pledge online.

SECTION MEETINGS / MEETINGS IN BELO HALL

What if we anticipate a large crowd for our noon meeting in Belo Hall? How can we move to The Pavilion?

If you expect a large crowd and you are scheduled in a room that is not large enough for your meeting, please contact Suzanne Hatfield at 214/220-7474 and request a room change. Meeting rooms are difficult to change at the last minute and space may not be available. Meeting rooms may be changed only on a space-available basis.

THE PARKING GARAGE

How do I enter and exit the parking garage?

The entrance and exit of the garage is on Olive Street just south of Flora Street. Remember, Olive Street runs one way going north.

How many levels are in the garage and how many parking spaces are there?

The garage has four underground levels, space for 243 cars for self-parking and 282 if valet parking is used.

What is the fee for parking?

Parking will cost $3 a day to Dallas Bar Association members and non-members conducting meetings/business in the building during the business hours of the building (7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.). Be sure to bring your ticket inside and have a wait staff person validate it! To expedite exiting the garage during busy hours, you will pay for your parking inside the Belo Mansion through your server or through the cashier.

Will a garage attendant be on duty?

Yes, an attendant will be on duty from 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. when the garage closes.

I have business in the building across the street from the Belo Mansion, so may I park in the garage?

There is not any daily or monthly parking. You may temporarily park in our garage but you will not park at the $3 rate. The $3 rate is charged to those who have business inside the Belo Mansion. Even though you are a DBA member, you will be charged the public rate, which at this time is $1 per half hour with an $8 maximum. After hours rate is a flat $6. We are specifically giving priority to those parking in the garage to attend a meeting inside Belo.

I want to have an after-hours firm party in The Pavilion. Do I have to use valet parking or may we self-park in the garage?

You may self-park at the per-car rate of $6 or you may use valet parking. Please call our catering office at 214/ 220-7414 to arrange valet services.

May I leave my car in the garage after my meeting in the Belo Mansion concludes? I have a meeting next door.

If you wish to pay the public rate you may leave your car. During the business week, if there are no events in the Belo Mansion the garage will close at 7:30 p.m.

May I park in the circular driveway off of Olive Street?

No. This space is reserved for quick drop-off and for valet functions only. Your car will be towed if you are not authorized to park there.

How do I drop my car off for valet and then pick it up?

Valet drop-off is located at the circular drive on the west side of the Pavilion. You may wait for your car in the valet waiting area and proceed through the covered walkway and then pick your car up at the garage exit.

How do I get into The Pavilion from the parking garage?

There are two elevators on each parking level that will take you directly to the Pavilion level.

DISABLED PARKING & ENTRY TO BUILDING

I am disabled. Where do I park and how do I get into The Pavilion?

Each parking level in the garage has parking spaces marked for the disabled. Additionally, there is a space at the entrance of the garage for specially equipped vans. A sidewalk along the west side of the historic Belo Mansion provides easy access to The Pavilion.

RETAIL SPACE ON FLORA STREET

What is behind the windows along Flora Street?

In keeping with the Arts District Zoning Ordinance, there is space along Flora Street that will be reserved for retail. It is about 2,000 square feet and measures 116’ x 18’. The space is available for lease.

TERRACE

Will there be food service out on the Terrace?

We expect to have some food and drink service on the terrace. There are six cast aluminum tables and chairs for you to relax and overlook not only downtown Dallas but also major buildings in the Arts District and Uptown.

COURTYARD

Is there a courtyard off the atrium?

Yes. The open-air courtyard on the east end of the Pavilion atrium has beautiful plants and benches for relaxing.

CAPACITY OF THE PAVILION, RENTALS

What is the banquet capacity of The Pavilion?

The ballroom will seat approximately 600 banquet-style. Each quadrant will seat approximately 170 banquet-style.

How do I find my meeting room?

The room names are located outside of the ballrooms and down the Pavilion East and West foyers.

I want to rent the Pavilion for a wedding. How do I do that?

Call our catering office at 214/220-7471.

AUDIO-VISUAL IN THE PAVILION AND BELO HALL

What kind of audio-visual is there in the new ballroom?

The two west ballrooms have motorized screens (12’ high x 13’ wide). Other equipment includes wireless microphone combos (lavalier and hand held), mixers, eight speakers in each quadrant of the ballroom, speakers on the terrace, a CD player, and much more. The ballrooms in both buildings are equipped with a dimming light touch panel to create and save lighting scenes.
