The Section generally meets at noon on the 1st Tuesday of each month on the first floor of the historic Belo Mansion in the Winstead Sechrest Ballroom in the Pavillion.

Upcoming Section Meetings will be as follows:

August 3, 2010 - TIPS will present a judicial panel consisting of Judge Cortez, Judge Slaughter, and Judge Molberg, moderated by Judge Greenberg, to discuss the Judges' perspective on challenging pretrial and trial issues raised in tort and insurance litigation, and  the best practices for handling such issues.

September 7, 2010 - Gulf Oil Spill Update, presented by Bob Allen, an insurance and commercial litigation attorney and partner of Meckler, Bulger, & Tilson, and Scott Summy, an environmental attorney and shareholder in Baron & Budd.

October 19, 2010 - TIPS will join with the Business Litigation Section in presenting Peter Vogel of Gardere Wynne Sewell to speak on "Internet Law, Social Networking, Privacy and Security."

November 2, 2010 - The Honorable Fifth Circuit Justice Catharina Haynes will present a Fifth Circuit Update on insurance law.

November 19, 2010 - TIPS will present a one-day seminar with nine pre-trial and trial topics addressed by experienced trial lawyers, judges, and in-house counsel, entitled "TIPS' Trial Practice Essentials: Tools You Need to Win Your Case."
