Collaborative Law Section

Provides a forum for lawyers and other professionals who are interested in learning about the collaborative dispute resolution process and advancing their skills in the process. The goals of the Section are: (1) to promote the use of the collaborative process for resolving disputes in various areas of law, (2) to train lawyers and other professionals in the use of the process, (3) to educate the public as to the benefits of the process, and (4) to preserve the integrity of the collaborative dispute resolution process.

Meeting Schedule: 
The Collaborative Law Section typically meets at noon on the FOURTH WEDNESDAY of each month at the Belo Mansion.

An exploration of the structure of the participation agreement, how to utilize neutrals in negotiation, the importance and use of interests and goals, the complexity of advocacy, and the risks of differences in negotiating a non-divorce agreement collaboratively.
