Dallas Bar & Sister Bar Associations Statement Regarding Charlottesville

Thursday, August 17, 2017

The Dallas Bar Association, J. L. Turner Legal Association, Dallas Hispanic Bar Association, Dallas Asian American Bar Association, Dallas Association of Young Lawyers, Dallas Women Lawyers Association, and Dallas LGBT Bar Association stand united with the city of Charlottesville, Virginia, and all those harmed by the ignorant and hateful acts of those who think they are superior because of the color of their skin or their religion, and we condemn the acts of people identifying themselves or acting as white supremacists, neo-Nazis and the like.

Our associations are committed to addressing race and religious intolerance in our city and will continue our partnerships to improve relations and dispel hate.

We remain steadfast. As our city and country continue to experience heartbreak from the evils of racism and religious persecution, we are emboldened to work harder for positive change and tolerance.

May we all further commit to building greater unity in our city and nation.

The Dallas Bar Association is a professional, voluntary organization of approximately 11,000 Dallas-area attorneys. Find out more at
