In this annual Dallas Bar Association program, members of the DBA will share their experiences upon graduating during the last recession. Through a “Been there, did this” focus, law students can gain insight on how to best position themselves in the unknown job market of 2021 and beyond. Additionally, a recent 2017 law school graduate will present lessons learned as a new lawyer, as well as the experiences of job transitioning during a pandemic.
After the speakers conclude, law students will be distributed into breakout groups facilitated by DBA members. These sessions are to conduct professionalism discussions through situations law students may experience during school and in law practice.
Opening and welcome by Lynne Nash, of Stanton LLP, and DBA President Aaron Tobin, of Condon Tobin Sladek Thornton Nerenberg PLLC
Greg Franklin, Greenberg Traurig
Panel of Law School Graduates: Kate Morris, Owner/Partner of Hosch & Morris; Erika Toledo, Dallas ISD General Counsel's Office; and Robert Withers, Dallas County DA's Office
