- The State Bar of Texas, the state’s legal aid agencies, volunteer organizations and access-to-justice organizations have created a toll-free legal assistance hotline for low-income individuals and families across Texas dealing with civil legal problems because of the pandemic. Those interested can call 800-504-7030 toll-free for help wherever they live in the state.

Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program
DVAP assists low-income people in Dallas County with civil legal needs. All regular DVAP intake clinics have been canceled through April 30, 2020. If you have a legal matter and would like to apply for assistance, please call the Legal Aid Line at 888-529-5277 or fill out an online application at https://bit.ly/33hOrdC.
Dallas Bar Association Lawyer Referral Service
The Dallas Bar Association Lawyer Referral service can refer you to a Dallas area attorney (includes Collin County). For a $20 fee, the attorney will meet with you for 30 minutes to discuss your legal matter. If you and the attorney decide to work together after the initial consultation, you and the attorney can negotiate a fee agreement. You can get help by emailing email@example.com. When emailing, please send full name, zip code, phone number and a brief description of your case when requesting and a referral by email.
