Join the Allied Bars Equality Committee’s Book Club
The DEI Book Club strives to utilize the power of influential novels, writings, discussions, and speakers to initiate and mobilize conversations addressing social and racial injustices affecting our society today.
Added Bonus: In addition to the designated quarterly book, participants will receive access to additional suggested readings and invitations to participate in quarterly CLE discussions or presentations via Zoom. All levels of participation are welcome!
2026 Reading List:
• January - March: Book #1 “The Illustrious Impact of Luminarias on the Law ” by Dolores S. Atencio – CLE scheduled for April 9, 2026 – on Zoom at noon.
• April - June: Book #2 "The New Jim Crow: Mass Incarceration in the Age of Colorblindness" by Michelle Alexander – CLE scheduled for June 30, 2026 – on Zoom at noon.
